By following the plan, Oslo eventually drives to a sustainable environmental city
This is the Local Agenda 21 Plan for Oslo and is the basis for environmental policy.
The plan has developed a guideline, focusing on the built city environment, it includes the creation of areas with the emphasis of actions, partial goals, strategies and measures.
This is a 12 year framework which has been followed in all municipal plans, programs and budgets of the city and is analysed and revised on a four year cycle.
The developments so far are the built up of the city government plan priority, the start of blue-green planning and the citizen changing values and interest - based on the researches done within the revising process, improvements of the result is shown.
Transportation
The transportation plan is another more obvious and main focus in the general development plan.
The developments achieved so far are the transit, traffic tolls and auto free zones
Oslo sustainable architecture
Some of the examples of sustainable architecture awarded several architectural awards are Klosterenga, Pilestredet Park and City Hall Open Space.
