Oslo is always ahead on having green, open spaces, and these are integral part of the landscape of Oslo. There are various park and open spaces that are interconnected by paths, thus the city's inhabitants can walk between them and contribute in various activities related to the space.
Landscape and parks
The central part of Oslo is situated between hills. There are a range of green areas and parks as for creating the green spaces, 95% of the city's inhabitants have a park of an open green space within 300 meters of their homes. Thus, providing green areas and environmentally friendly places for the city.
The Slottsparken
It is located surrounding the Royal Palace with a landscape style with large trees, paths, ponds and lawns in the curved terrain, it is a romantic, intimate park especially for the Dronningparken within the area, which is constructed some years after the main park is closed for the public.
The Botanical garden in Tøyen
The mission of the garden has been clear made to manage and develop documented, living plant collections for use in research and teaching, imparting knowledge about the botanical diversity and importance of plants and life and help preserve endangered plants.
The Medieval Park
It is located within the medieval town in Oslo. In this area, development is not allowed due to ruins that would possibly done to the Clemens Church, the St. Mary's Church and the ancient royal residence. The park is always a good spot for any Oslo citizens and visitor to enjoy and get along with.
